Shows cancelados!
O Dan, webmaster do site oficial do Hoobastank e
também do Message Boards, deixou um topico dizendo
o seguinte:
"Due to unexpected personal commitments, Hoobastank has had to cancel their upcoming tour of the United Kingdom and Europe. Hoobastank is incredibly disappointed for their loyal fans and hope to reschedule the tour in the very near future."
Traduzindo: Shows pela Europa e Reino Unido foram cancelados, por
motivos de compromissos particulares inesperados (?) e pretende
voltar no futuro! ^^
Bom, ninguem entendeu nada... Esperamos que os motivos
não sejam ruins e que todos estejam bem!!!
Será que alguem vai casar?? hehe

Pra fã nenhum botar defeito...
Queria agradecer ao Wesley que me mandou essa crítica
perfeita que saiu em algum site sobre o novo CD do
Hoobastank! Já faz um tempinho que saiu, foi em maio
acho, mas vale a pena ler!
Aí vai:
Famosos pela balada “The Reason”, que frequentou as paradas de diversas FMs ao redor do planeta, o Hoobastank sempre teve mais a mostrar. Só que nem todo mundo viu. Culpa da mídia, culpa da gravadora e também da própria banda que fizeram um super investimento no ‘hit’ e deixaram todo o resto de lado. O que o público viu - e ouviu - não era o Hoobastank, mas apenas uma de suas facetas: aquela capaz de fazer baladinhas bonitas de amor.
“Every Man for Himself”, terceiro álbum, vem para mostrar o que há a mais. Vem também confirmar a capacidade da banda de criar boas canções. Embora o estilo sonoro do Hoobastank se mantenha na mesma linha, o que se ouve são canções com mais energia, peso, coesão e alguns elementos novos. Essa mudança talvez esteja ligada à saída do baixista Markku Lappalainen que parece ter chacoalhado a banda como um todo.
Com um rock pesado e agressivo, porém acessível, o álbum abre com “Born to Lead”, precedida apenas por uma introdução ‘não musical’ chamada “The Rules”, que traz um discurso ‘de quartel’ feito por um sargento chamado Dale Guy. O single “If I Were You”, “The First of Me” e a longa “More than A Memory” também merecem menção. A divertida “Inside of You”, com sua letra ‘safadinha’ - “I love the way you move when I’m inside of you” - é outro destaque do álbum com riffs cativantes e metais em seu refrão.
Todas as 13 faixas do álbum - e os dois bônus - são (muito bem) produzidos novamente por Howard Benson (P.O.D., My Chemical Romance) que trabalhou os talentos dos músicos. A voz de Doug Robb soa mais do que afinada enquanto Dan Estrin (guitarra) e Chris Hesse (bateria) criam o ambiente perfeito para fazer de “Every Man for Himself” um marco na história da banda. Para as gravações de baixo a banda contou Chris Chaney, músico convidado.
O grande mérito do Hoobastank, no entanto, é não ter se escondido na sombra de um ‘hit’ passado, esperando que aquele sucesso os empurrasse, por inércia, de novo às paradas - o que nem sempre acontece. Como o próprio Doug canta: “At least I’m moving forward”... que continuem nessa direção.

Desculpem o tempinho sem postar, mas a banda anda sem notícias
esses dias... Eles continuam esse mês com a turnê pelos EUA,
junto com as banda Nickelback e Three Days Grace (Bem que essa
turnê podia passar pelo Brasil...hehe). E em Outubro eles fazem
shows na Itália, Alemanha, Inglaterra, Espanha, etc.
Bom, só estou postando pra não deixar o blog paradão mesmo!

Hi everyone, we're back in the states again, finishing up the last leg
of the tour with Nickelback. It's been an interesting run so far in
that the tour (at least for us) has a lot of breaks in it and until
now there's been no flow to settle into. We spent the last couple
weeks in Hawaii and Japan. We went to Japan to play the 2 day
festival called Summer Sonic and along the way decided to play a
couple shows in Hawaii and relax for a moment while we were there.
Hawaii, as most people know, is one of the most beautiful places in
the world. Pretty much anyplace that stays in the 80's with the same
temperature water and has great waves all year 'round is good in my
book. The promoter who picked us up at the airport is a surfer, as it
seems everyone who lives there is, and he was kind enough to loan me
one of his boards for the time we were there. The hotel we stayed at
was a 10 minute walk from one of the better beaches and we arrived at
the same time as one of the better swells of summer. I scored great
waves everyday! I'd wake up every morning and run down to the beach
for a couple hours. I was back well in time for press, sound checks
or whatever we had to do that given day. It was one of the best times
I've had on "tour" so far. I should probably mention that the shows
were great, large turnouts and energetic crowds. Thanks to all to
attended.
Japan delivered as always. Summer Sonic is hands down our favorite
festival in the world to play. It seems like a long way to go to play
a couple of shows but it's always worth it. Ask any band that's spent
time over there and they'll tell you the Japanese are some of the best
fans in the world. From the first note to the end of the show it's
nothing short of Mayhem. To make things sweeter, Metallica was the
headliner. I've been a fan since my early teens and for whatever
reason have never gotten to see them live. I got to see the entire
set in Osaka, during which they played the entire Master of Puppets
album. I watched most of it out front by the mixing booth and watched
the rest from the side of the stage. It was another one of those
moments where I was pinching myself in disbelief. Yep, this is real,
I haven't woken up yet!
Like I said we're back in the US finishing up the arena tour with
Nickelback. The shows are great, playing in front of loads of
appreciative fans every night. Those of you who have made a show or
two know that we've come out and signed autographed and shaken hands
every night after out set. It's a pleasure meeting the peeps, they've
been very good to us.
I hope this post finds everybody doing well. Thank you for your
continued support and I hope to see you all at a show some day.
